The City of Eustis is celebrating statewide recognition after its Events and Tourism Department earned eight honors at the Florida Festivals & Events Association’s (FFEA) 31st annual SUNsational Awards Luncheon. The awards highlight creativity, innovation, and collaboration in festival and event planning across Florida.
The city’s flagship celebration, the 123rd Annual Georgefest, stood out with six awards, including first-place honors for its tickets and invitations, t-shirt design, promotional poster, promotional item, and radio promotion. Georgefest also earned a third-place award for photography, further cementing its reputation as one of Florida’s premier community festivals.
The Clifford House Opening received a second-place award for tickets and invitations, while Light Up Eustis earned first place for its promotional poster. Together, these honors showcase the department’s ability to deliver memorable experiences that blend tradition, innovation, and local pride.
“These awards are a testament to the hard work that goes into every detail—from concept to execution,” said Events Manager Carl Saenger. “Every member of our team played a role in bringing these projects to life, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that dedication celebrated.”
The SUNsational Awards are judged by a panel of experts representing media, printing, design, photography, marketing, and social media. The program has been honoring excellence in Florida events for more than two decades.
The recognition of Eustis highlights not only the city’s commitment to community programming but also the broader strength of Florida’s event industry.
With these wins, Eustis continues to affirm its place as a cultural hub in Central Florida where community traditions thrive, new ideas flourish, and celebrations bring residents and visitors together year after year.
