Worldatlas.com has named 10 cities as the Best Places to Live in Florida for 2024.

The top cities and the reasons that the website lists as reasons for the recognition are:

  • Cape Coral. Cape Coral stands out for its low crime rate, outdoor recreation, picturesque surroundings and natural attractions and attraction to retirees.
  • Gainesville. The City is recognized for its cost of living, healthcare facilities, college atmosphere and diverse attractions.
  • Longboat Key. This Town was cited for its seclusion and beach lifestyle, slow pace, low crime rate, schools, beaches, attractions and community events.
  • Lynn Haven. The article recognizes the Town’s affordability, family atmosphere, high-rated schools, low crime rate, cost of living and outdoor attractions and activities.
  • Marco Island. The website says the City stands out due to its safety and its attractions such as its beaches and outdoor events.
  • Naples. The article mentions Naples’ shoreline, tourist attractions, safety, education and educational attractions and events.
  • Pensacola. The website indicates that Pensacola was selected for its beach lifestyle and cost of living, including the median home price.
  • Port St. Lucie. Port St. Lucie is recognized for its safety, low crime rate, cost of living and year-round events and outdoor recreation.
