Coral Springs families had the opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and venture into the great outdoors as part of Campout Coral Springs, an overnight event that took place at Coral Springs’ Sportsplex Park.

The athletic fields at the park were transformed into an outdoor camping space with more than 100 tent camping spots. Happy campers took part in a full schedule of outdoor activities and games over two days, including s’mores-making, a big-screen outdoor movie, relay races, a dance party, family kickball games, and more. Campers also enjoyed the on-site playground, basketball courts, and lawn games.

Coral Springs Public Safety was onsite to ensure campers stayed safe, and the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department controlled the communal s’mores campfires. All activities, including overnight sleeping, took place within a fenced field.

The event was exclusive to Coral Springs residents. Participation cost $80, which included a camping space for four people, access to all activities, lunch, breakfast, giveaways, and more. Campers provided their own tents, sleeping supplies, and chairs. Assembly assistance was provided by Coral Springs Parks and Recreation Department and the Fire Explorers.
