Lady Lake Police Chief Steve Hunt, Officer Josh Higgins and K-9 Ember recently participated in “Craft with a Cop” at the Lady Lake Library. Participants enjoyed crafts, refreshments and photo opportunities.

The first-of-its-kind event at the library offered community members an opportunity to be creative while getting to know new Police Chief Hunt, who was sworn in in August. They also had the opportunity to meet K-9 Ember, a two-year-old black Labrador retriever. K-9 Ember primarily works patrol and detection duties alongside Officer Higgins, his partner and handler.

The ceremony was a testament to the City’s commitment to fostering community engagement, promoting healthy activities and supporting educational initiatives.
